Dr. Collar received his surgical training at the prestigious University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins medical institutions, the top two programs nationally for his specialty based on reputation among peers.

Dr. Collar is a sought-after expert in facial plastic surgery as an academic faculty member, author of over 30 publications, researcher and innovator, having successfully performed thousands of challenging facial reconstructive procedures. Dr. Collar’s passion to serve his patients is reflected in his service as a teacher/coach on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation and through his international medical mission work in Central America performing surgery for children with various forms of congenital facial disfigurement.

Dr. Collar has received a masters degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School (MIT), and was the first Division 1 quarterback to also graduate valedictorian in the NCAA’s history.
